Pumpkin fields
25,000 pumpkins were planted on 21 May 2025 ahead of the first pumpkin event. The 2026 crop went in around 2 June 2026, with help from Notoriginallyafarmer's team.
Why pumpkins?
Pumpkins became the farm's first big crop and its first reason to open the gates. They also tie back to Tom's gaming past — in the 2025 planting video he remembers building pumpkin farms in Minecraft.
2025: 25,000 seeds
On 21 May 2025, Life of Tom documented planting 25,000 pumpkins after "months of preparation". The farm's first pumpkin event followed in October 2025.
2026: the second crop
Notoriginallyafarmer's video from 2 June 2026 shows their team helping plant this year's pumpkins.
From field to event
Visitors' videos from October 2025 show people picking pumpkins straight from the field, with a maze alongside. Whether the 2026 crop will be opened up in the same way hasn't been announced.
